imagine. create. explore.

What if the library was more than just a place for books, music and movies? What if the library was a place to make a lamp, sew a cellphone case and fix your bike? Every month find a new opportunity to make, create and explore. Imagine that.

  • January: Photo Booth

Capture the possibilities this week with our photo booths in Columbia Falls and Kalispell and photo shoot in Bigfork. Use backdrops and props to create a new persona. Try a handlebar mustache and a monocle, then full red lips and sunglasses. Go for a whole new you. Grab the whiteboard and write a message. Express yourself!

  • February: DIY Home Cleaning Products

  • March: Tell Us About It

Help us come up with slogans for our walls, and come back to vote for your favorite.

  • April: Count Your Chickens

Nothing says spring like chicks. So help us welcome the fresh new season by bringing chickens to the library. That’s right. We will have chicks and will be making a chicken coop, right here in the library. Come add a few boards, pound a few nails and see the chicks. Happy spring!

  • May: Chalk It Up

Try out our giant chalkboard. Contribute something of your own or see what other people had to say. It’s like a Facebook wall, but in person. Chalk + you = expression.

  • August: Disc-o-Rama

You’ve heard of mini golf, but how about mini disc golf? Find out more about it when you play our full course inside the library. Fore!
