Back-To-School Block Party

Bias Brewing and Flathead County Library are teaming up to celebrate public libraries at our Back-To-School Block Party at Bias Brewing. Kick off National Library Card Sign-up Month by signing up for a library card while enjoying brews, live music by Hannah King and Andrew Brozek, and interactive activities for kids provided by the library.

Seed Cleaning & Packing Parties

Join our friends from Land to Hand for another round of seed cleaning and seed packing parties at the library! Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us as we either separate and clean seeds, or label and spoon seeds into envelopes. Stop by these family friendly events and help us restock the Columbia Falls Library’s seed library, and save seeds for next year’s Free the Seeds event.

Ethical Material Sourcing Discussion Panel

Learn about the new Bigfork Library’s participation with Design for Freedom, a global movement to eliminate forced labor in the building materials supply chain. Speakers to include lead interior designer on the library, Jessica Murray with Cushing Terrell; Ethical Materials Director at Grace Farms, Nora Rizzo; and Manager of Sustainable Building Solutions for Assa Abloy, Erin Spadavecchia.

REzMaDe Artist Reception

A VOICE (Art Vision & Outreach in Community Education) along with the Fine Art and Digital Design Technology Departments at Salish Kootenai College (SKC) are proud to present REzMaDe: photographs by SKC and Two Eagle River School photographers from the Flathead Nation. The exhibition runs August 6 through November 8, 2024, exclusively in Bigfork. Join us for an artist reception to celebrate this powerful exhibit of work.
