Summer Experience encourages children and teens to enjoy books, explore science, and discover new adventures all summer long. There is no cost to participate.
Starting June 12th, children can pick up a scrapbook and teens can pick up a gameboard at any ImagineIF location.

Summer Experience Events for Kids

Summer Scrapbook (For children birth to 10 years)
Document what you read and do this summer using a DIY scrapbook and uniquely designed stickers. Pick up your scrapbook, sticker sheet, and a special writing tool at any ImagineIF location beginning June 12th. During the month of August, share a picture of a finished page in your scrapbook in our online gallery and be entered into a grand prize drawing.

Summer Experience For Teens

Teens, get ready for a summer adventure with ImagineIF Libraries’ Teen Expedition Gameboard! Starting June 12th, make your way to any ImagineIF location and pick up your gameboard to begin your epic journey. With our gameboard, you’ll take on a series of reading and learning challenges, navigating your way across the map and staying up-to-date on all the exciting teen summer programming happening at the library.
Don’t miss out on this chance to become the ultimate survivor! Complete your map by August 12th to earn an epic reward. So what are you waiting for? Gear up and hit the trail, because this is a summer you won’t want to miss!
Teen Workshops
Quick Printmaking
Have you heard of the art process of printmaking? In traditional printmaking you create a design on a template and then print it, and reprint it, onto textiles. Quick Printmaking is an event to experiment with this process quickly. We’ll provide all the supplies (including blank t-shirts!) so just bring yourself and your ideas!

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament
Battle it out to see who’s the ultimate at our Super Smash Bros. tournament! Enjoy pizza, snacks, and crafts while cheering on your friends. *Must enroll by 2:10 p.m. day of to participate in the tournament.

Anime At Dusk
Grab a blanket, pack a picnic, and come wrap up Summer Experience with anime at dusk! Our Fandom group will be showing Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry on their 200-inch inflatable screen! Parents are encouraged to attend as chaperones for their teens. Stop by any ImagineIF location to register or register on the day of the event at the Ark Building from 8:10-8:30pm.
