Takeout Kits for Teens
The Teen Take & Make Kit challenges teens to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities through entertaining and fun projects they can do at home. These kits are especially for youth in 6th – 12th grade. Kits available the 1st Monday of each month while supplies last.
March’s Kit: Needle Felting
Teens will create fiber sculptures by felting wool with a barbed needle. Felting is an ancient fiber fusing method that uses heat or agitation to create a sturdy textile. This kit contains wool, a foam block, and a felting needle, everything needed to dive into this artform. Using real tools helps youth grow their resilience, self-confidence, and risk-management skills. Vent your stress by stabbing something a thousand times- for art!
