Library Spring Festival & LitFest 2024

May 9, 2024, By in Events.

Mark your calendars for a celebration of the love of literature! Friends of the Library in Flathead County are pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Library Spring Festival on Sunday, May 19. The festival will feature outdoor activities for all ages, building on the success of last year. New in 2024, the festival will include a Flathead Valley LitFest, hosting three panels of local authors that same afternoon.

A Journey Through the Pages

After the resounding success of last year’s Spring Forward Festival, the Friends of the Library are excited to offer an even bigger celebration this year! Last year, the community enjoyed a fun-filled day of hands-on activities for all ages. From creating colorful sidewalk art, to making seed bombs and enjoying delicious homemade goodies, library lovers came together to revel in the joy of reading.

What to Expect This Year

This year’s Library Spring Festival will offer more family friendly activities for children, teens, and adults. Participants can enjoy live music, refreshments, an interactive storytime, an obstacle courses, bubble machines, facepainting, friendship bracelets and button making. The popular seed “bomb” station will also return!

New this year is the debut of LitFest, featuring three panels with local authors discussing:

Mysteries Made in Montana
Montana: The Last Best Place
Something for Everyone: Genre Fiction

Each panel will be moderated and followed by an engaging Q&A session with the audience, as well as opportunities for book signings and purchases.
