The Montana Shared Catalog (MSC) app was discontinued on November 30th, 2023 without notice. The MSC app allowed library patrons to access their library account from a mobile device and to digitally browse the library’s collections, place a hold on items, and renew items previously checked out. The Montana State Library’s recommendation is that patrons uninstall the app due to lack of functionality and in some cases, it is displaying out of date information about patron accounts.
Patrons can still use the online catalog to place holds and check their account status. The Libby app is also available for download and offers library patrons access to thousands of ebooks and audiobooks. It can be accessed at imagineiflibraries.org/books-and-more/mobile-apps/.
The Montana Shared Catalog Team is actively working on solutions and ImagineIF Libraries will keep library patrons informed when a new app is available.
